Mah'Kaier
Kaier (born May 27th, 1330, aged 26) is the former Dragon King of Urathear. He is only 26 years old and is known for primarily two things; he is known for being a particularly young Dragon King and not adhering to the tradition of Dragon Kings past.
Early Life
Before becoming Dragon King, he was a prince, obviously. He stayed inside the city walls of Kenthedir, acting out his duties as prince. He attended the parties, made friends, and made contacts. He rarely played up the fact that he was the prince (and heir apparent) of Urathear. He was known throughout the noble caste and working class as a earthly and level headed dragonborn. This was seen as stark contrast to his brother, Sarahk, who was a stickler for tradition and a firm believer in the dragonborn's place in Urathearic society.
In the last years of his father's life, a subtle strife emerged between Mah'Kaier and Serrahk, who were both vying for the crown. However, Mah'Kaier's desire for the crown was completely different from Serrakh's. He was afraid that an Urathear under Serrahk would return to a more conservative and potentially destructive way of life. No one's entirely sure why, but in the end, Mah'Kaier was named heir apparent and next in line for the crown.
Rule as King
After becoming king, he worked to appeal to the people. With his reputation as prince, this was an easy task and was soon beloved by his people.
His first act as king came when a noble family of a city in Urathear was in danger of ending. To save that city's noble caste, the king was petitioned to choose a new family to rule over that city. The nation was shocked when Dragon King Mah'Kaier chose a noble family of humans, the first time a non-dragonborn family was chosen to rule over a city. The family of Tierdas rules over the coastal city of Aussir, much to the chagrin of the dragonborn living in that city.
Dragon King Mah'Kaier is also known for expanding relations with Darthuria.
Post-Dragon King
In 1356, the capital city of Karathel, Mah'Kaier is thought to be lost during the great flood that took the city.
