Vampire
Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person.
Race Stats
Undead: +2 Toughness; +2 to recover from being Shaken; called shots do no extra damage (except to the heart—see below).
Vampiric Might: Vampires start with a d6 in Strength and Agility.
Hard to Kill: Vampires are naturally hard to kill. They can become Incapacitated as a result of Wounds, but they can not be truly killed unless staked through the heart (see below).
Hunger (Blood): Vampires must feed on a living creature’s blood once per week. Otherwise, they’ll suffer a Fatigue level. If a vampire is Incapacitated as a result of not feeding, the vampire does not become Incapacitated as normal, but rather becomes frenzied and terrifying, its only mindless urge being to feed. They suffer a -4 to Charisma and must make a Spirit check at a -2 to resist attacking the nearest living creature.
Weakness (Holy Symbol): A character with a holy symbol may keep a vampire at bay by displaying a holy symbol. A vampire who wants to directly attack the victim must beat her in an opposed test of Spirit.
Weakness (Holy Water): A vampire sprinkled with holy water is Fatigued. If immersed, he combusts.
Weakness (Stake Through the Heart): A vampire hit with a called shot to the heart (–4) must make a Vigor roll versus the damage. If successful, it takes damage normally. If it fails, it disintegrates to dust.
